Where the hell is Matt?

Having heard of my upcoming adventures, someone at work sent this to me today.

It’s a video of Matt Harding, a “deadbeat from Conneticut,” as his site puts it, who was fortunate enough to travel around the world. Luckily, he was also smart enough to record himself doing a silly jig in front of famous places and post it on the net.

The video took off online, and Matt got a call from the Stride gum company asking if he’d like to do it again, and make a new video. This second trip was completely paid for, and it looks like he had a lot of fun.

I came across Outdoorzy.com while reading The Adventure Blog (another great adventure site).

Outdoorzy is a site dedicated to anyone who loves to do anything outdoors. The tag line reads: “If you’ve ever been called ‘Outdoorzy,’ welcome home.”

Welcome to the newly renovated DanielGodin.com!

For those of you who may have seen my previous version of this site, and those who haven’t, let me explain why such drastic changes were necessary.

Version 1.0

The original incarnation of this site was created using Apple’s iWeb. Beyond the technology, it was created with only one goal in mind: to document my efforts to climb the worlds 7 tallest summits. I was affectionately calling it my “Quest for the Summits” site.

It became clear very early on that the iWeb product I was using was just not going to cut it in the long term. (more…)
