Summits of Canada Expedition

Central Cirque SummitsI came across this expedition which is sponsored by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society called the CanaTREK Summits of Canada Expedition. I think what they’re doing is really great, so I’d like to share it with you.

Essentially, the point of the expedition is to reach the tallest summit of each Canadian province. Like a Canadian version of the Seven Summits, except in our case it would be the 13 Summits! It started in June of 2006, and is still working it’s way across this vast, geographically diverse, country of ours. (more…)
