I have your blog in my feedreader and reads your posts with interest.

It all began when I read a book by and about the first Dane to reach the seven summits: Søren Gudmann. He also attempted to be the quickest person in the world to reach them. And was beat by a few days in the end. I then started reading more books about mountain adventures and especially about Everest expeditions. And then I found this blog.

I will keep reading and I hope you reach your goals one day.

I'm still here, and will be when you finish the redesign. :)

I'm not sure I know anything about being a "successful blogger", although I do appreciate your kind words. But I do know that you have to write about the things that interest you and you're passionate about, which seems like where you want to go, and you have to find your own voice over time.

A refocus and change of pace is not a bad thing at all, and if anything, it will make your site more unique and interesting than ever. I can't wait to see what you've got in store for us. :)

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys.

I think once the initial disappointment wears off it'll be replaced with a stronger resolve to go back and finish the job.

I've definitely got to commit to working out a lot more. No question about that.

Oh, and as for the post suggestion, that's a great idea Brett. The boots failed me, but there were other things that really did work very well and I think it's worth spreading the word about those as well.

Kraig: You know, I really did think of you that morning. I said to myself "If this is what I feel like hiking after one night with no sleep, I can't imagine what Kraig was going through on Kili!"

Don't give up! You learned a lot, and that's one of the first steps. Work on cardio and leg strength and carrying around your pack, and things will improve. Hopefully this just hardened your resolve for the Seven, and now you can focus even more.

I sure know what it's like to not have good sleep when you're trying to go up a big hill. Ugh! Not fun at all!
