Please forgive the "default" theme. I'm currently in the process of giving the site an overdue redesign. The new look should be ready soon.

Vancouver is getting closer and closer

The trip is now a mere 9 days away! I can’t wait.

I have been doing a lot of looking around for stuff to do while I’m out there, but unfortunately a lot of the things I was looking forward to doing are closed; either due to the weather BC has been getting, or repairs/renovations. Things like the Vancouver Harbour Lookout, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, etc. All closed.

Hopefully Stanley Park will be open to the public by then. Also, I’m really looking forward to the Vancouver Aquarium.

I guess we’ll see!

is this website still about the seven summits? I wanted to live vicariously through you, as the seven is something I always wanted to do. But but vicarious living about web design and the vancouver aquarium isn’t quite as much fun.

    Brett,

    You’re comment is perfectly valid!

This site is still about my quest to climb the seven summits. Sometimes, however, I stray from the topic a bit.

The few posts about web design were simply to inform readers about what was going on with the site and why it looked completely different every couple of days. And Vancouver, well, it’s the only bit of adventure I’ve got in the past couple of weeks.

I talk about the need to stay focused on my main topic in This Post. You can get my thoughts on the subject in more detail there.

The problem with posting only on the topic of MY quest to climb the seven summits is that this is not a short term thing… I don’t really have much news to post every week because right now I’m very much in the training/education part of things. And if people keep coming back and not seeing anything new, they will stop coming back. But that shouldn’t really be an excuse to publish below average content, i suppose.

I’d like to thank you for your comment. It was a wake up call and I’ll endeavor to stay on topic, and produce posts worthy of being lived vicariously by others!

    DG.

…Oh, and by the way, I do have posts coming up about my climbing plans for 2007 (hopefully a confirmed Kilimanjaro date), training camps I’ll be attending, and more updates on my quest! Stay tuned…
